I do most of my shooting in Paris, France
I put my first steps on the long road of photography. I travel this road in search of emotion seized by the moment, especially in the street with ... my phone. An anxious look, a bright smile, an outstretched hand, a ray of sunshine ... I want to be moved and to move people. I want to"capture" people's energy and transfer it to those who look at my photos.
I'm thankful to new networks like IG for helping feed me with wonderful pics & the ability to share mine with more & more people. Being on a social network like IG is not just "liking" a pic, but trying to catch who's behind it, what part of the photographer's feelings he/she wants to show or to hide. All of us mobile photographers -- we may be at the beginning of a major revolution. For the first time in the history of mankind, almost anyone -- with a cell phone & an internet connection -- has the possibility of capturing a scene in any place in the world & of sharing it almost instantly with the rest of the (wired) planet. Technology can be a tool to enslave us, as Thoreau might say. But it can also be a tool for the People of the world to acquire more freedom & build more solidarity. We may be in a revolutionary process similar (in scales & effects) to the post Gutenberg revolution, with a multiplication of the possibility to spread books, knowledge, enlightenment, freedom & awareness. So keep shooting, keep sharing not just beauties of the world, but also struggles, injustices, mobilization... LIFE.
